Symphonische Märchen

A fairytale journey… to an «ancient, wonderful land», in the words of Maurice Ravel’s little song cycle «Shéhérazade», that wonderland about which nannies once told stories to children! This fantastic programme paints a fascinating picture book of fairytales, myths and legends, with Tonkunstler Music Director Fabien Gabel complementing Gustav Mahler’s fin-de-siècle mood with French Impressionism.
