Since Máxima’s famous tear to the sounds of Astor Piazzolla’s Adios Nonino, Piazzolla’s music captivated the entire Dutch population in one fell swoop. Twenty-five years later, the Netherlands Saxophone Octet presents Piazzolla’s tango opera Maria de Buenos Aires in a unique adaptation, with audience favorite Karin Strobos in the title role.
