With his tranquil and distinctive tintinnabuli style, he has inspired a new generation of listeners to contemporary music. The largest a cappella choral work in his oeuvre is the impressive Kanon Pokajanen from 1997, which unfolds an intense and meditative soundscape centred on themes such as penance and redemption.
