Olivier Patey is the principal clarinettist of the Concertgebouw Orchestra. He is one of the world’s finest clarinetists, renowned not only for his orchestral playing but certainly also for his chamber music skills. For Schubert’s magnificent Octet, he brings along several orchestral colleagues: Andrea Cellacchi and Fons Verspaandonk are respectively the principal bassoonist and horn player of the orchestra. Additionally, Patey’s wife Diet Tilanus, a violinist with Amsterdam Sinfonietta, joins them along with a few of her string friends from Amsterdam Sinfonietta and Het Muziek. Amsterdam Sinfonietta meets Concertgebouworkest in the Aalmarktzaal.
