Shostakovich & Prokofiev 6

Dmitri Shostakovich and Sergei Prokofiev navigated the strict dictates of the Soviet regime while maintaining their artistic integrity. This concert features Shostakovich’s First Violin Concerto, performed by Alena Baeva, and Prokofiev’s Sixth Symphony, both reflecting the personal struggles under the oppressive political climate.
