The story of Pyramus and Thisbe was made famous as a parody in Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Johann Adolph Hasse's version takes the tragic love story seriously, presenting a through-composed musical drama. This concert performance will be in Italian with German surtitles.
