The Nutcracker and I

»The Nutcracker and I« has its origins in the enchanting world of the famous Christmas story by E. T. A. Hoffmann: Excerpts from Tschaikovsky's »Nutcracker« are danced by ballerina Désirée Ballantyne behind a transparent gauze screen, while hand-drawn animations are projected onto the screen, bringing the story to life. The audience feels literally part of the event as they interact live with the pianist and ballerina while dancing across the screen.
